Fleas on humans? Yuck, really? No way! Well, fleas don't stay on humans, like they do animals, but they can and will jump on you and bite if you are around them.
Fleas love to hide in your sweet pet's fur and drive them nuts! It doesn't take long before your home becomes infested with these disgusting creatures leaving you to deal with fles on humans.
Fleas can carry many diseases, so they are not only a nuisance, but dangerous as well. Fleas can catch nasty diseases from infected rats, dogs and other animals, such as quintana, grahamii, and taylorii, bartonella, and even the plague.
So, how do you get rid of fleas on humans? To get rid of the fleas on humans, you must kill the fleas on your pet first. Try using Advantage or Frontline. For my pets, Advantage has always been more effective. Then, treat the infested areas such as your home. Clean, clean and clean some more!
Get rid of the clutter on your floors and tables and all the places that the fleas can hide. Move your furniture so you can sweep underneath. Now sweep and/or vacuum everywhere. Then, if you have hardwood floors, clean then with a mop, wetjet or your other favorite wet cleaning product. For carpeted area, vacuum thoroughly twice a week. This will take care of most, if not all, of the fleas and their eggs.
If you still have trouble with the fleas after this, you may need to try more drastic measures. You can buy some safe household flea killing products at your local Home Depot. If you really want to go all out, try using professional strength foggers, or hire an exterminator. Just keep at it and fleas on humans will soon be gone.
